Looking to buy a Manual Vanquish

All Vanquish are manual. I assume that you want one that has been converted to the slower speed gear change option with a clutch peddle and gear lever.
If you have read the links you will know that there is certainly plenty of independent knowledge to keep these beauty’s in first class condition and plenty to look out for when buying one. Make sure you read as much as you can about the Vanquish and give yourself a fighting chance of getting a good one.
I don’t understand why you would want to take the backward step with the gearbox though.

It's just horses for courses really, many love the feel of three pedals and a manual gearstick and the traditional interaction that brings.
It would be a requirement for me also if I were to jump in a Vanquish

I am not sure how many would have been back to Works Service for conversion, which I think I was informed cost circa £15,000, but I assume that they are relatively few in number. That said I have seen that there are two currently on sale, of which one is a Vanquish "S". (see AMOC car sales section on Forum)
If they're the same two, one green, one black, then they've been up for sale for a LONG time.
Either they're overpriced or people are scared of the resale value of the converted car. IMHO if done by WS I thought they'd be retaining value or even increasing faster than the standard robotic-box cars.

Thanks for all your replies. I followed the links above and looked at more on this forum and I am shocked at the amount of corrosion on even new cars. But the holes in the subframe on the Vanquish.....
I don't like the early paddle gearboxes, and has been said the feel of changing gear properly is much more involving than clicking a paddle to a lot of people including me. But each to his/her own.
The two cars I have found advertised are Chiltern Green and Meteorite Silver, both lovely colours.
Has anybody knowledge of the manual box? I believe it is a T56.
At least I am not in a hurry to buy so can try to choose carefully.
