I live not far from a Church, when a funeral is held they have Police bollards on the road outside the church to reserve space for the hearses to park - people park there to use the nearby shop otherwise. Yesterday I walked to said shop and saw the bollards outside the Church. I witnessed a silver VW Golf stop as a female passenger leapt out, moved the bollards onto the pavement as the driver parked up and they both wandered off.

What would be the point? He's hardly going to get back in the car and move it is he?

What? What would he say on the internet then?

"I told them there was a funeral, they said they didn't realise and moved the car. They were quite nice actually."

They probably would've done, if not you could have posted a much better story than "I saw something that I felt was wrong, so just walked away, then posted it on the internet. I'm a much better person than they are."

How did I become the bad guy here?

He wouldn't have moved it. Skinhead pleb, forehead keeping the rain of his feet, other half looking like she's crawled out of the Dale Farm wreckage. He'd have responded with plenty of swearing and feet stamping, probably a good bit of 'fk off inniiiiit' and 'nowhere else to park!!!'

Haven't got the energy to argue for a pointless outcome.

The increasing knobhead culture on PH these days; that's why.

I agree with you, OP. Disgraceful behaviour.

Why not add that in the OP then?

I didn't think I needed that extra info to convey the tttishness of the people in question. I thought moving Police bollards to park in a hearses reserved space outside a church was enough.

Are you saying if it was a posh tt with a Rolls Royce it's not fine for me to leave them be?

You can't assume anyone is going to act in any kind of way until you 'press to test'

If you asked him, he might well have grunted, equally however, he might well have politely moved on.

We will never know now will we?

Well I don't move Police bollards and obstruct funerals. That's my contribution to civilisation in this regard. If that's not good enough then fk off smile

Yeah, pain in the fkin arse funerals! I was on my way back from a suppliers once to a job I was working on for which I had ordered a wagon load of concrete but on the way back, the roads through a small town had been closed because some local celebrity had decided to kiff it and have his coffin paraded through the town.I was held up for nearly two hours which caused me to to send the concrete back for disposal costing me the best part of a grand!

fkin tts,you think the dead would have a bit more respect for the living trying to earn a crust!

Sounds like Martin84's fault to me - he should have told the funeral procession to get off the roads.

I'm saying why not have a word with anyone doing that. OK you might get a different response from a neanderthal compared to an old gent, but why not ask.

Getting sworn at isn't going to hurt

He could have died of embarrassment and moved it, he could have grunted and moved it, he could have grunted and walked off, or he could have stoved your face in but either way there was a 50/50 chance the hearse and the funeral family car could have parked outside of the church instead of the 100% chance they couldn't by keeping your mouth shut.
Oh right so now it's my fault the hearse was held up? Because I put the fking Golf there didn't I? rolleyes

So much for PH believing in self responsibility and not palming blame off onto others.

I think the problem is that some of us believe in trying to make the best of a stty situation and make a difference instead of walking on by and whining about it on the internet.
