Bedford 24th November
Discussion
Me and a few friends are either doing this one or the week after (gonna spy on the weather and play it by ear). Just done Cadwell on a wet day and want a dryer track now to play on. If we go, I,ll be in a Nissan Almera Gti, plus mates in Clio cup, golf vr6, and a Scooby wrx wagon. Hope to see some of you there. Havent done the GT circuit yet although a couple of us did a How fast session a few weeks back on the West circuit( wasnt overly impressed, hope the GT circuit is a little better ).

Ooh. Can I passenger with you for a couple of laps? Considering a change to an Exige next year and would lot experience the car in action...
Of course, come and say hi and I will take you out after I've done a couple of runs. The car is rather close to the drive by noise limits and so I won't be flat out by any means as there are a number of places where I will be having to lift. A standard car doesn't have that problem...clarki said:
I was thinking of this, one final blast of the year.
Bedford at the weekend can be quite busy though from past experience - who's it with?
easytrack - busy-ness virtually guaranteed but even then I've never really had to queue for more than 5 minutes (and it always gets quieter in the afternoon)Bedford at the weekend can be quite busy though from past experience - who's it with?
Yep will be there, not been for a while, looking forward to it. 4.1 miles for everyone to spread out on so will be plenty of space as usual for a good play. Will be in my Aston and with a buddy in his XKR-R, am thinking with the low grip conditions this time of year we will have our arms full!
Used my 888,s on a damp/wet track at cadwell a few weeks back and was pleasantly surprised at how well they did after all the horror stories I,d heard about them in the wet. Got the front ones ( soft compound) warmed up nicely with steam pouring off them after each session. Had trouble getting any heat in the rears ( medium compound ) though. My road tyres are T1r,s so I think the 888,s are the better option whatever the weather. Praying for a few hours dry though.
