Seperate Clothing and Ebay Forums?

Just a thought, there seems to be a lot of these in The Lounge at the moment. It probably has been asked for before, but my search isn't working at the moment!

You're right, it has been asked before. You can determine the answer from the lack of clothing (& eBay) forums

If they get put in, not only would the lounge be dead, but after a while, I bet the clothes forum would die down a lot. Ebay.. not so much.

I'm hoping it is something that comes soon, I'm getting fed up with the amount of clothing and ebay stuff being asked! I'm sure a lot of other people are too.

There are far too many sub sections on PH anyway. No more!

In fact... I suggest the forum be split into two sections only:

"Stuff Johnnytheboy's interested in"

This to be full of shouty threads about cyclists, cars I quite like, and politics threads featuring public sector workers bemoaning their hard lives. Oh, and things that link to the Mail website, so I've got an excuse to click on links about bikinis while pretending to work. Ebay threads could go in here.

"Stuff Johnnytheboy's not interested in"

This to be full of threads about watches, TVRs and HSV/Monaro threads, and most of the rest of the forum TBH. Clothes could go in here.

I appreciate this system might take some fine tuning, but the status quo's just not an option, is it?

To be fair, this already exists! You can exclude all the TVR or Monaro threads and just keep the stuff you are interested in. Then when you click 'What's New' then it gives you a digest of all the new stuff that you've filtered on.

Granted, it can't differentiate between stuff you like and the eBay/clothes stuff but, as I said above, you can ignore all that crap and simply avoid clicking on it.

I never knew that - have now tinkered a bit.

But I still like my system better.
