Mod-wise Better Lights kit

Anyone used one of these? What does it comprise of? Any good? Easy to fit?

I'm thinking of upgrading the bulbs as one has blown and needs replacing so I might as well replace with uprated bulbs (80W or 100W, not that I'd fit Rally items of course) but I understand its a good idea to upgrade the wiring at the same time to prevent the car from catching fire

If you put bigger bulbs in, you draw more current and all sorts of things may fry. An S fusebox for example

The kit is basically a whole new set of wirse from battery to 2 new relays then into the lights. The existing wiring is broken somewhere after the relay and before the lights so that the existing relay merely acts as a switch to tell the new relays what to do.

Only thing to watch for is the dim dip circuit if you have one. Its a git, plain and simple.

No idea about how good the lights on a Chimera are, but its made a world of difference to the S. Definately worth it..

Fitted it to my Cerbera and made a HUGE difference ... well worth the money and a fairly easy job to fit.

Fitted it to my Chim, along with the brighter lights and it works a treat. I can see where im going now!

Its very easy to fit comes with very clear instructions (as long as you read them, unlike me!) the whole job takes about 30 mins

Is it quite easy to fit to an S? My mechanical skill is ok, but my electrical is frankly poo.

Try a pair of Philips Vision Plus bulbs; I fitted these to the S and it made a huge difference without any additional current draw.

If you try them you might find that the improvement is sufficient, otherwise you can then go to the next stage and fit the modwise kit as well.
