TomTom Start ciger lighter not working...

No LED lights up and the unit does not chrage. I have confirmed the ciger lighter socket is working.

I popped open the usb/charger and expected to find a blown fuse - but there is no fuse fitted ?

Do I have pay TomTom £13 for the privilege of repleacing it ?

Ordered Belkin version for £2.50 from Amazon.

Still surprised at no fuse in the original though.

Does the green light on the charger/lead light up?

It could be the charger or it could be the unit itself. It's quite common for the mini USB connector on Tomtom devices to break from the circuit board after a while given the stresses that the connector is exposed to.

No green light on charger and unit connects to pc via usb lead ok.

its dead then, i get a green light on mine as soon as there is power.
