After a monumental wait since the last Race Driver: Grid (on a par with Polyphony with this one), Codemasters finally announced its sequel, Grid2, last week and its 2013 release. The trailer is on the Xbox dashboard under marketplace and Youtube (search for Grid2 announcement trailer as I can't post links at the moment)

It looks good and doesn't appear to have lost any of it's predecessors charm, by which I mean carnage. It was certainly one of my favourite racing games of the last few years if not all that realistic. The trailer doesn't give much away but it does feature real cars and a much better range this time around, awesome damage, drifting and incredibly fast paced racing.

Anyone else looking forward to seeing it again? I might even blow the dust off of the original to get myself in the mood biggrin

Hmm GRID was good but I missed some of the race series' from Race Driver 3 - Aussie V8s were great fun for a start. Feeling a little bit meh about this one.

After they removed all my online stats from the 1st GRID, I shall never be touching the product again smile

Which car was it out of interest?

His car is an S14a Nissan 200SX. It's one of the first few cars you hear in the trailer. can't remember which though!

Definitely good news. Grid was just so much more fun than other racing games and the trailer seems to show the same sort of mad tail sliding gameplay. Top spot - Can't wait!

Liked the first one, but could never get on with the "odd" feeling handling model

If someone could literally take race driver 3 and update it's driving and graphics the game wod be perfect for me! All the other games are missing the realistic edge! Loved the supercars, Gt's... Proper class's of real cars. No arcade different era crap.
