I have a 10 month old JRT/Patterdale cross who is awesome. She can be a naughty girl but she is playful, friendly (except to some strange men) and pretty well trained.

It's not really a problem I'm just interested to now why she might be doing the folliwng; whenever my OH and I cuddle whislt stood in the same room as her, she jump up at us, barking her little furry head off. Not aggresivly I'll add. If we're sat on the sofa together, nothing. It's only ever stood up.

I thought it might just be that she's jelous and wants us to play with her instead? Like I said, it's hardly a problem, just wondered why she might be doing it.

I would say a mixture of jealous and anxiety. If she is licking her lips a little then anxiety...in the dog world maybe two dogs close together on hind legs may come across as fighting.

On the other hand stop 'getting it on' in front of the kids ..lol

We have a Jack Russell that does exactly the same thing! As soon as we cuddle standing up, off he goes - barking and jumping up...

We have no answer other than he is jealous as he isn't getting any attention.

I think it's standard JRT behaviour!!
