Cheap GPS unit wanted.

What in your opinions are the best value GPS units?

I understand the Bryton and Garmin products at around are £100 are pretty good?

I just want a unit that does not need setting up or attaching any bits to the fork etc (last one blew up after 5 mins). Just plonk on handlebars and off you go.

That's the Garmin 200 you're after, then. Though I have no experience of the others so wouldn't like to suggest one over the other

Etrex Vista HCx - awesome if you don't need ANT / cadence / HR. Takes AA, so battery life isn't an issue. Very robust, and no fuss.

The Bryton is even cheaper and apparently equally good from what I've read. No experience however.

I have a unmarked Garmin 200 which I have used once a week for less than a year. I have the box, instructions, fixing brackets and rubber bands to secure to the stem. I am currently out of the UK but am back at the weekend if your interested (please PM me). I now have a 500 model. LMK

The Bryton is the logical choice. The full Rider 20 package is the same cost as a bare Edge 200 but the Bryton is ANT+ and comes with all sensors.
