sagaris sales seem to have slowed
Discussion
looking at the classifieds it seems sagaris sales have slowed up i know we are in the winter but it didnt seem to affect sales last year i sold mine in the december i think we could see sagaris prices falling just my opinion im sure other people will agree and disagree i know they are a lovely car but current values seem to high again just my opinion!!
Tend to agree with the OP,seven currently on offer on PH classifieds across a broad price range, that`s a fair percentage of the original 150 ? produced.
Sag owner or not it`s a simple demand /supply equation that provides price stability, although I fail to see the issue of cost if you own what you want ?

If I was in the market for a Sag, why would I pay what appears to be the current highest/maximum price to drive it about 5 times in the next 3-4 months ?? Most Sag owners (me excluded) will leav them on Accumate all winter.
Most would wait until March. Interestingly, I did the same myself, driving my T350C thru winter then prepping ot for sale and finally finiding a Sag in May.

Sales always go quiet over winter.
The Sags always seem to sell in clumps. When I bought mine, there were three of them for sale at Castle and had been for 4-5 months, then they all went within a few weeks of each other. Seen the same pattern over the last few years as well.
See what happens when spring comes around

There are only six available, one ad is for hire and another asking for Sag's. The green one has been for sale for ages so that also makes it look weird.Sag owner or not it`s a simple demand /supply equation that provides price stability, although I fail to see the issue of cost if you own what you want ?
They are 50K+ cars not 20k cars even though they are desirable and rare they will not move as quickly as cheaper TVR's and other marques.
A NEW V6 Supercharged exige or a second hand Sagaris?
I think this is starting to have an impact on the sagaris! I can't see the Sagaris selling as well as they have next year unless the Price margins get smaller between a T350 and the Sagaris. I have a friend who has just ordered the exige and I can see his point of view.

Think I'd like to hire one for a weekend to compare tho...

My mate had one of those when we were in our young twenties - he'd worked since leaving school at 16 - you know, one of those apprenticeship thingy's - I did 'A'-levels (when they were 'A'-levels Ha Ha) and went to Uni...
We both loved it. Those Twin 40 carbs - Dellortos weren't they ??? Black with the Silver band down the side and the Lotus logo.. Classic.
If I won the lottery, that would be in the garage... along with Alfa's, Lancia's, De Tomaso's, Escorts etc. etc. I'd need a rather large garage.. and I would have to give up work just to make time to drive the damn things !!
Plus there'd be the Tamora/T350C Convertible project...

Aged 18, my first car was a Talbot Sunbeam - gorgeous brown colour (not!). Had a 1.3 badge on it but a 1.6 ltr engine under bonnet which the insurance company did not need to know about If I won the lottery, that would be in the garage... along with Alfa's, Lancia's, De Tomaso's, Escorts etc. etc. I'd need a rather large garage.. and I would have to give up work just to make time to drive the damn things !!

People have JUST started to realise that you can get a hell of a lot more car for £58.000, you watch, they will be back in the £30,000 price range by the summer. It only takes one person to sell cheap and the prices will plummet..All the best .
And everything else that's considered to be a lesser TVR and has been dragged up in terms of asking prices will slide with them.
I think the "what you can get for your money" is a reasonable comparison if you are looking to spend an amount of money. If you want a Sagaris, then you are just looking to get the best you can afford.
Buyers will get the best deal possible in the Winter, or they can wait till Spring and get one for what the market dicates then - their choice/risk?
I've spent some time lately looking at the value of cars I owned when new and there are some shocks, but they generaly have something in common. The big ticket models were all outstanding in terms of what that marque was delivering at the time - I give you the Sagaris.
You (the royal) takes your choice.

Don't see it, thats t350 money now!
There worth what people are willing to pay and people have been willing to pay 55K+
i still have to scratch the Sag itch and would pay current values if i could find the right car sell the T350&M5 etc etc
I do believe they will remain relatively static over the next year and as much as i'd like to see the values drop for me to buy it stands to reason my T350 value would also drop!
When i started the Griff project everyone was telling me Sags where over priced and prices would fall!
Well they have gone up about 10-15k not a bad little investment for a mainly depreciating market.

Sour grapes, envy or just trying to talk the prices down I suspect.
I quote from your profile, "One day would love a saggy...."
Try as hard as you like, simple rarity of numbers and iconic status will prevent Sag's ever seeing £30k or £40k again (unless there's issues with a particular car of course). As time goes on and more have had specialist engine upgrades too, the prices will stay bouyant in the very least. They may peak at some point (for a time), but they will never drop. I suggest you keep saving or keep dreaming.
