Just watched a programme about the Pagani Huayra.

The bolts used to build it are titanium and cost 100,000 euro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I thought the stainless steel fixings I used were expensive.

Makes an Ultima look cheap.

One hell of a car though! Now where is that lottery win.

Those Paganis close up are a real feast of engineering excellence, attention to detail second to none, Late Koenigsegg are also top drawer.
Titanium is mega expensive now, all metal has sky rocketed in price. I used to use titanium fastners from Poggipolini on special bike builds (F1/GP/suppliers) but even the ubiquitous 6mm cap head screw is beyond a joke now.

I seem to recall that every fastener has the Pagani name on it? Pretty much everything on the car is bespoke - hence the price tag.

The Zonda is still a million times prettier than the Huayra though smile
