My external temp sensor seems to have become a bit eratic and for instance today ran car for 20 miles parked for 2 hours in the open and on restarting display read 26C and took quite a bit of time to come to ambient temp.
Anyone know if replacement is a DIY proposition or off to dealer?

I'm not sure where they're situated, but they seem very susceptible to heat soak.... Mine is all over the place, so I mostly ignore itsmile

The one on my TVR was by the headlight, and just had a 2 pin wire going to it, so if the AM one is similar, it should be an easy swap out.....

Easy!!

Remove top two slats from the front grille - quicker than removing screws in front slam panel (where the sign off badge is fitted) and its fitted just in there on the RH side of the car. New sensor comes with the nylon clip that retains it into the bracket so not an issue if it breaks. Simple two wire wiring harness with a 'squeeze' clip to dis-connect from car loom. If you disconnect it and still start car then nothing shows in the ext air temp reading section of dash display (no error codes etc) Just clip and plug new one in and away you go - automatically recognises it.

Edited to add.. You could probably do it through the grille but would be very fiddly - Just as easy to dropp a couple of slats out
