05 Focus Stereo swap

Hi All,
just a quick question, will a standard stereo from a 00-07 Mondeo fit my MK2 05 Focus?
mine has the CDDJ button instead of the AUX button. i have a spare ipod lead that was on my old Focus and worked through the Aux button, but a bit of online research has shown that it cant be used with the CDDJ on my stereo.
my parents have an 03 Mondeo with a stereo that looks identical to my standard unit, with the aux button. so i'm thinking if it fits, i'll just swap the units over and save a bit on getting one from Ebay. some posts on other forums say the mondeo unit is a different size.
i have seen the sony units of the facelift MK2 Focus going quite cheap on ebay, but cant be doing with changing the centre console and gubbins just to fit a new stereo, despite it looking quite smart!
