Wife wants a cheap, simple 4x4 for winter and has spotted the above in 1.8 guise.

Are there any horror stories or are they a half decent little off roader? Trust me if she buys it I will be taking it onto the lanes!!

Or should we look at something else? Your thoughts would be appreciated, thanks.

Great off roader, my father had one that I used for 6 months.

Not great on fuel but very capable and fun off roader. On the road a bit jiggly and unrefined but it was a basic, small shogun.

The GDI engine can be troublesome. I bought a Jimny instead.
