My first proper PH rant here so go easy on me...

Most cars these days come with the brilliant invention of a stereo with a USB or Ipod port in them so people can connect mp3 players and listen to some music, After all, pretty much everyone stores their music on a USB device dont they?

SO WHY THE MINCING fk DO AUDI SUPPLY THEIR CARS WITH A fkING USELESS S-fkING-D CARD SLOT INSTEAD? Who the fk stores their portable collection of music on an SD card? Do they think "oh, I fancy litening to some music - best go find a camera or laptop with a card slot in it.

I use an SD card. Stick a shed load of songs on it, shuffle, and jobs a goodun. No wires, no gizmo's, no hassle. Turn on, and way you go.

Ours has an SD card slot. I think it's great! It also plays music via bluetooth from my phone.

What more could you want, really?

I have an SD card slot and Bluetooth streaming (from an iphone) I use both and find the SD card slot just as useful. SD cards are brilliant for transferring large amounts of data. Quick, cheap and simple.

Which model is it? SD card would suggest A4 with concert or symphony so should have aux input 3mm point too.

Funny you should mention that because I do think Audi are becoming more like Apple. Their advertising is becoming very simplistic, as is their website. They really are becoming a halo brand that people aspire to own and despite their down falls (like Apple products), people will defend them at all costs.

It's not the SD card itself that's odd, it's that there are 2 of them for some reason. Anyway, SD is probably cheap to implement so it will be on the low end system. iPod and Bluetooth will be more expensive to licence and the module will be additional cost.

Have a look at the back of the centre console bit between the seats. In the bit you usually throw change etc in there should be an audio jack or at least there is in the a4 s-line. I'm assuming they wouldn't have taken it off a higher spec car.
