is it me, or do the wheels look a bit odd?

Odd doesn't begin to describe them.

They've sprayed the rims black and kept silver centres - makes it look like it's fitted with a set of 14"s with 85 section tyres.

Not a good look and I'd want it changed before purchase.

£40k for a pimped 996t with daft wheels?? WTF

Think I'd have a proper GT2 for the same money!!

How utterly strange. Wheels completely detract from the rest of the ad!

If they were all painted one colour they would look better.

They look awful... then again, if you've got enough power to rip the tarmac off the streets who cares what the wheels look like, thats a lot of horses.

Just to explan - those are BBS E88 racing rims (in a slightly worrying colourscheme)

The wheels themselves are probably something of the best you could put on your Porsche (I'm biased as I run a set of them on my GT3 for trackdays).

The antethisis of bad taste, IMO, topped off with a naff no. plate. At least it doesn't have 'drug dealer' tints.

If the dealer had taken the trouble to present it better (wheels and no.plate), with a more articulately composed narrative, it might have more appeal. Personally, I'd rather spend that kind of money on a later, original, unmolested, 996 T, GT3 or 997S.

Antithesis?? I guess you mean the "apotheosis"...? (antithesis = complete opposite of something)

No, I meant the antithesis of good taste, but you're quite correct, thanks wink

I'd like to change the wheels on my 996TT, I have now found one design that won't be on my wish list...

Wheels look similar to those found on kiddies cars...then I noted the car is registered to a boy called Reg [REG 8OY].
