1) If you think that the security of your images is important I recommend going for a reputable brand and ensuring they're not fakes - personally I stick to Sandisk

2) Don't use one card in more than one device - whilst you CAN do this, it's more secure to use cards exclusively in one camera and to format in camera

3) Logically, a couple of smaller size cards is a better insurance if a card fails, than one mahooosive card!

The Class 10 45MB/s Sandisk Extreme cards seem a good compromise between all out performance and price, I've got a 16gb version for my DSLR and absolutely no complaints so far. Whether I make full use of it's speed I doubt, but they're only just over a tenner so hardly seems worth buying anything slower for the small saving.

They're also water/shock/magnet/temperature proof so if you're thinking of doing any recording with the GoPro in inhospitable environments then even if the worst was to happen to the camera, the card is likely to survive intact.

Thank you both,

Looks like i'll be buying sandisk and using them for just one device individually

Kind regards
