Have you ever considered adding this to the forums? The ability to click to say you agree with something, (or disagree) without actually having to post. You could force people to log in to do it, so you'd still get the the usage tracking you presumably do ... It works for Disqus/Slashdot/B3ta (actually, perhaps the last one isn't such a good recommendation!), so why not for PH?

They did used to, forget why it was removed

(My brain is fuzzy though, I may have made it up, but I am pretty sure there used to be little thumb up icons)

Not quite what I meant. I want to click on the thumbs up/down to say I agree or disagree with your post. The icons in the header bar are not clickable and there are no counts as to how many people have done it.

The best thing about this forum is that it doesn't have features like the one you mention.

We used to have it.

And it sucked.

So it was removed with the guarantee that it would never ever come back again.

PH is fine as it is. Let's keep it that way smile

PH is the nicest, cleanest forum I have seen on this new fangled internetweb thing. Leave it as is, thanks.
