Anyone dealt with www.wristmenwatches.com?

They're in India, which (perhaps unfairly) sets some alarm bells ringing, but payment is via Paypal and their photos look genuine.

Any experiences?

Thanks.

I've heard there are a lot of Frankenwatches and fakes, but I have no evidence to prove this.

Absolutely correct. Only buy if you are physically present and assured of authenticity.

Not dealt with these guys but I did buy a FL from ebay.
Full details here:

If the link doesn't take you direct, my post was Fri 25th May 2012.
I had a quick look at the website you posted, and the first FL that I checked out has the same badly painted / resotred face that mine has. The seller has avoided showing a square on view of the watch face, so it isn't possible to see how wonky the hour markers are. rolleyes

Personally, I wouldn't touch a watch from India again. I'm so paranoid that before I buy on ebay I look at the seller's buying history, if they have EVER bought a watch from India, then I won't touch that seller. Too great a chance that they could be reselling bad Indian tat.

I'm not racist or zeonphobic anyone buying from the Philappines gets exactly the same treatment.

Well, I listened to your advice and promptly ignored it smile

Yesterday a very well packaged parcel arrived and inside (in about 10 minutes worth of unwrapping! Colleagues at work were getting impatient watching me unwrap it - The watch was in padding inside a plastic box which was wrapped in about an inch of bubble wrap all round) was this :

It appears to be in very nice condition and is keeping good time. The crystal is unmarked and the case and bracelet in generally good condition.

I'd wanted one of these for ages and this was way below the price most sell for, so I'm very pleased with it.

Based on my experience, I'd say buying from http://www.wristmenwatches.com/ was a safe and, potentially bargain finding, thing to do.

Of course, this is a sample of one, but I'm very happy.

The comment about rusty watches might be true, but their photos are clear and so the fact you can see rust on some watches suggests they're not hiding anything. As with any remote transaction, you need to exercise caution and do your research, but my experience was good.

A pleasure - The watch is still running well, although the chrono no longer sets exactly to zero (a common problem on these).

If I'm honest, I realise now that it was a bit 'over' polished (the markings on the case back are very faint), but for the price I remain very happy.
