Does anyone have a 996 Turbo forsale, X50/modified

Put a wanted advert here:

Last time I looked most of the X50's I saw for sale were tiptronics. Good luck with your search. For uber-road hoonage, in the hands of an average driver the turbo should be quicker than the GT2.

Jonny, remember that private sales of cars above 50k are actually quite rare. Most punters will probably sell via a dealership on commission (the cars are v expensive for dealers to buy in).
This is probably because buyers want lots of assurances and warranties when parting with that kind of cash, and sellers don't want the hassle or risk of dealing with tyrekickers with briefcases of cash in car parks.
Good luck with your search, but 99% of GT2s and x50 996tts I have seen for sale have been handled through the trade in some shape or form.
Finally, if you don't mind LHD, www.mobile.de has plenty of bargains for the motivated private purchaser.

I re-iterate the www.mobile.de option. German cars are highly cared for, less likely to have been raced and their roads strain a car out a lot less than the UK. Plus 15% - 20% less expensive than the UK. Importing is straight forward too with lots of private sellers due to the higher levels of confidence inspiring documentation.
jonny5,
If you don't mind LHD, there's a tasty LHD Ruf R Turbo advertised on the Ruf website.
It looks like a Ruf vin numbered one to me. 2WD, so somewhat hairy arsed. It has the integrated cage which is fab. It has loads of tasty Ruf labelled interior bits and bobs which are essential.
520 BHP isn't massive when you consider that a remapped Turbo with a sports exhaust can have this for 5 grand, but these horses are well engineered ones.
One problem.....it's 150,000 Euros ONO.
I wouldn't mind one myself.

Gmund cars (www.gmundcars.com) have a very tasty RHD 2002 996turbo x50 for sale, jade green metallic with 470bhp. It isnt cheap but its been on the site for some time so who knows, they might take a view. I'm fairly certain it had a write up in one of last months mags - it was either GT- purely Porsche or 911 & Porsche World. It doesnt quite fit your wishes but you arent exactly looking for your bog standard porker so it may be worth a look

rather like it myself. lets face it, if your gonna spend 85K on a car you dont want it subtle, you want EVERYONE to see it! (very briefly as you flash past in a blur of minty green...)
Just a thought... If you want that sort of attention - you buy a bright red Fezza not an X50?

its an awsome colour. Ive almost got an early 996 a few years back in that colour save for being a tip.
Im almost ready for a 996tt (2nd hand) and I would cut off my knackers for that one with the x50. I love everything it has. Its my ultimate. :dribble:
Wife would kill me, if I went to Guildford in mine and came back in that. have they had it for long? do you think they would bargin?
nooo dont tell me....
dribble.
