Already shaping up nicely
Antonio Felix da Costa takes the F3 pole - he's really looking a good bet for F1 at some point after a very successful test in Abu Dhabi

And of course Rob Huff is looking good (dare I tempt fate) to secure the WTCC title.

This is really awful. I've been in and out of Macau for the last two weeks to check things out and it was promising to be such a fantastic event. As much of a risk motor racing is, it never hits home until it happens right in front of you. Even though everyone accepts the risks, it's going to be a sombre event for many here.

Desperately sorry for the loss of Luis Carreira and Phillip Yau. My condolences are with their families, friends and team.

Wow, Rob Huff lost the lead on lap 1, Took it back on lap 4 with a crazy late braking move and then had some suspension damage half a lap later. Only needed to finish on the podium to win the championship. It will go to race two! Strange race to watch, there was a pile up on lap 1 which meant that the top 6 were able to get about a half a lap advantage on the rest of the field.

Jeez ! Not liking the look at the way those marshalls are dealing with the situation. If he had any chance they should have been working on him
immediately unless he was killed instantly. RIP and condolences.

Great to see the WTCC title back in the UK

Felix da Costa - what a season that boy has had. He'll join a long list of drivers that went on to F1 and I expect to see him on the F1 grid for 2014 - I doubt he's ready for Torro Rosso next year but you never know !

I don’t know the answer to this for sure but are the marshals instructed to leave the injured rider or driver to the medics unless they are in a place of danger.
