s type parkbrake

hi done a search but cant find much, got a 54 s type diesel, back brakes where worn, was gonna change em' but before i got my lasy ass into gear parbrake warning appeared on dash, any way changed pads,(after having to go and buy the tool grrr)but warning still displayed, as far as i can tell, parkbrake working, did the test of rolling car and then apply'in brake, so my question is, do i have to take it to a dealer to get it cleared, or is there a better way ie free?? cheers nige
