Dicso 2 TD5 EGR blanking plate

Looking to possible put an EGR blanking plate on my TD5. Is there any point, Does it make any noticable difference to the drive?

What about de cat pipes?

EGR blanking means cleaner air through the engine.
Decat means less resistance through the exhaust (but might fail an MOT depending on where you take it and how they interpret the rules)
