Nissan Pathfinder drivers are...

...utter t
ts!
Not just Pathfinder drives, Mitsubishi Warrier drives and all similar 'pickups' are also owned by t
ts as well.
I've thought this for a while and I accept that there are a few owners that buck the trend but on the whole... t
ts.
Obviously this is leading somewhere! Joining the M5 today and it's 50mph, basically the guy in the Pathfinder takes exception to a 'Clio' getting in his way so he accelerates at the rear of the car and then hangs off the back, a matter of a few meters. I then maintained a safe distance to the car in front (more conscious of this gap in front to make up for the lack on one behind but this wasn't even 2 seconds.)
I'm keeping up with traffic and we leave the 50mph section. We're now queueing in L3 waiting for the cars in front to move over but the mouth-breather in the Pathfinder decides to come alongside and edge me into the central reservation! I was literally on the rumblestrip (or whatever it's called)! Obviously I backed off... because I'd lose.
I can only assume that people see the Clio, assume it's a 1.2 and that it doesn't belong in L3 because 'it's a slow car'.
Ok, it's no surprise that the driver demographic for this vehicle behaves this way. I bet these guys were bullies at school so now they feel that they need an appropriate car to continue this bullying!?
Feel much better having had a rant... thanks for reading

Which lane were you in ? and was a lane available on the left you could have been in otherwise
In Bristol all three lanes would have been solid. Nothing wrong with the OP being in L3. You can rest safely there is no need for a smug lane discipline retort in this case.Although not pathfinders I happen to agree with the OP that in many cases crew cab pickup tax dodge vehicles such as the 'Warrior', 'Animal' etc are often driven aggressively and poorly.

In addition to CubanPete's post, I'm wishing to travel faster than the queue in front of me, I'm quite happy that I was in the correct lane. L2 was travelling slower with traffic from another junction joining it.When you say "Drivers of this type of vehicle" I assume you mean builders? I will now use a brush as wide as yours when I make the assumption that being in a Clio 1.2 you must be a mincey office bod, because all men that work in offices are roughly the same, bit girly, s
t at anything manual, like watching Freinds and Will & Grace etc, nerdy sense of humour. Hows that for a sweeping generalisation?
ETA I have re-read your post and note that your Clio is in fact a 172 and not a 1.2. My point still stands.

That's another one who "assumed it was a 1.2", I'm noticing a trend

It's a fair generalisation/assumption.
t at anything manual, like watching Freinds and Will & Grace etc, nerdy sense of humour. Hows that for a sweeping generalisation?Got a guy on my street who's a builder and drives a Navara. He doesn't ever observe the streets speed limit, drives around with his foglights always on and bully's his way through/around obstructions on the street.
