Yes, this is the response I get copied below, I appreciate it's an organisation run by unpaid volunteers but the response or lack off over such a period of time is not the best way to attract new active members, there are plenty of sprint and race series out there looking for entry fee's to help balance the books ?

It's not just the issue that the club is run by unpaid volunteers, some of them may be deployed.

Fair comment, not trying to knock the association in any way, trying to join it.

Have put a link up to this post on our forum - I'm afraid I don't anything to do with the running of the forum etc but hopefully it'll get the right people looking.

The forum is members only and the access criteria is that you are a member of the RAFMSA to gain acccess to the forum. This is explained on the front page of the Forum when you register.

If you are a member of the RAFMSA then access can be granted very quickly.

That's the problem, almost 2 months on from filling out membership form, having it countersigned by a competition secretary, filling in bank details etc... still heard diddly squat.

So what you should be chasing is your membership, via the relevant comp sec. You can't get access to the forum without a membership number.

Ahh,

So you haven't received your membership details yet and haven't contacted the membership secretary whose details are on the RAFMSA website and were on the form you filled in.

As mentioned elsewhere I recommend you contact the membership secretary and he will be able to advise whether your details have been registered and let you know where the form is or whether it has beem lost.

I imagine that direct engagement with the membership secretary rather than a general post on a very good but not connected forum would be a great way to take this forward.

Regards

Unfortunately my original post was deleted in error by myself so a few assumption's are been made.

My original post was a general question asking any RAFMSA members if it is normal for membership to take so long to come through & enquiries via email to the people others have mentioned above remain unanswered.

Lets leave it there, membership either comes through or it doesn't, I cant enquire on the forum, emails remain unanswered.

If you have had trouble contacting the membership sec - which as you will appreciate wasn't clear from the posts that are on the forum - I would be happy to pass on his details to you - pm me with your email and details you supplied for Mem and I will pass them on.
