Just when you thought a Boxster was for the ladies
Discussion
Not that you did, having seen Uncle Don mix it with the best on track
Well, if any doubts linger, look what I found on mobile.de. And it's yours for 37.5k, about the cost of a 996 cabriolet - which let's face it, doesn't exactly get the blood coursing.

450bhp...
I wonder what chassis strengthening has been done, though. And if it's necessary.
I have thought of taking "El Coche Rojo" to visit those terribly nice people at RUF for an underbonnet makeover when the time comes...but am worried the poor thing would be torn apart...
After all - the 996 Turbo (with 450bhp) weighs quite a bit more...
But even if its life was short - the light that shines twice as bright burns half as long...

Shirley, Herr Dom have overseen that 964 RapideSchnell offer Baron von Weiss zu Ruf in the same budget gap?
IMHO, a dedicated works-Clubsport offers better design and engineering than a sexed-up village-boulevard-snob's transport.
450 horses are easily written into a small ad, but (pre-)judging the kind of people that get attracted by small open top "sports" cars, they'd as well proclaim similar tremendous sounding accomplishments when talking about their reproduction facilities, oder?!
(sorry, Don
)
I'm with Don - Even if it'd have such enormous resources - there's always at least one part in the entire construction that was dimensioned to cope only with the serial production's Boxster-engine. That's why cars that left Porsche works with more than 420PS are still not near the price tag of that Boxster.

Dom, we must now relate 370 Ruf-PS and 450 village-lad PS.
Rather than using my prejudices, the next step should be that we should each test-drive both cars, and discuss our (subjective) impressions with a pint of Bier in the old pits at the Ring.
Answering the (not asked) style question: it's the white one

That is a stunning idea.
Take one plain vanilla 2.5 Boxster.
Take a 996 Twin Turbo motor from a breakers.
Blend these two main ingredients carefully.
Season with some techart wheels, Bilsteins, some huggy Recaros's.
Serve immediately and enjoy.
I cannot think of a more hoonable motor.
Is the conversion an easy one?
Utterly fantastic.
