What are the Jaguar F Types rivals?
Discussion
Jaguar claims there aren't any, since it sits just above the Cayman and just below the 911, but I'm sure it can be specced right to match either, so here's my problem; I'm putting together a marketing report for the upcoming Coupé and I've drawn a blank on rivals to mention.
So far I have:
Porsche 911
BMW 6 series/M6
Aston Martin V8 Vantage
Mercedes SL/SL-AMG
Ive also mentioned the ones from the class below:
Porsche Cayman
Mercedes SLK
Lotus Evora
BMW Z4 (although this isn't a 'pure' coupé anymore)
Am I missing any obvious ones?
Thanks

The Boxster.
I know it's pretty much the same car to us, but it sells to a very different demographic.
In the same vein, I'd be thinking along the lines of "soft top for about the same money", and looking at the 3 series cab, C and E class cabs, and the A5 too. Obviously this has fewer seats, but I would guess that they're quite often second cars for people so that's not quite so much of a concern. The fact that a set of golf clubs will still go in the boot is.
