Seems to be a lot of them avaialble in the 30 to 40k mark, think they have dropped from view as the 355 is now a bit of a classic and the 458 is the headline model, is it in limbo ? is it just not all that ? will they drop further ?

They're always gonna be ruiness from a maintenance point of view. I would love one but would probably go for a 993 instead.

Yes, sure a GTR would tear a 360 a new one but I just thought they seemed to have got relatively cheap, suspect they change hands under thirty grand as well as it is a tough market out there, the wealthy will buy new ones and as you say there is more bang for buck available.

But few feel as strongly about the 360 as they do about the 355.

I can't help thinking that manual 430s are great investment now, simply on the basis that they are the last Ferrari manual gearbox.

In addition, they made three times as many 360 as 355. The world economy took off when the 360 was launched. I think there's just too many of them out there to see any appreciation even long term for any bar the CS.

But you don't buy a Ferrari because it is the fastest and most reliable car. You want a toy with heart/passion

California is actually the last with a manual box, although I think they only made 3 of them or something smile

Like another poster, whilst I understand the point you make you do not buy a Ferrari for the same reasons you buy a GTR

This. Test drove the MY11 530 GTR and while very impressive, it is a different car completely to a Ferrari. I haven't even driven a 360 (or any Fezza for that matter) but I know what I would rather have on my drive!

The 360 appeals a lot and some ex-owners have said it wasn't too bad on terms of reliability - it would be good to know ball park what a 360 would cost per annum?

For example - a 996 typically averages out to 2k-3k pa in terms of up-keep.

Must admit when I looked around a few months ago I thought they looked a good buy.

But the specialists suggest the 355 is the better weekend car and it's rarer too so I suspect the 360 will drop a bit more.

However I didn't buy one because after looking at where I go (and park) I simply wouldn't use it.

Let me just point out I don't have a Fezza, but you completely miss the point, it's not about being 'flash' it's about feeling special everytime you drive, it's about character, it's about style, it's about pedigree.... Everything the Datsun isn't. Fast as the GTR is and I respect it as a great car it's a fast Nissan at the end of the day, each to their own but I for one do not like them.

I know quite a few guys with Ferraris and all own them for the heritage and experience they bring, none are 'wealthy' I prefer Lambos but give me a Fezza over a boy racer Nissan any day.

All IMHO

Does anyone have a break down of what to expect to spend during a years ownership? The not knowing would always stop me from getting into a Ferrari or a Maserati.
Between my 968 and E30 M3 I would spend roughly £3-4k per year. Sometimes more but also sometimes less.
