Are there any similar programs to Sage on Mac ?
Discussion
My wife runs Quickbooks on a Mac by using Parallels. I think there is a Quickbooks for Mac but it's not as comprehensive. I'm not too up to speed on accounting software, but I suspect Quickbooks isn't as sophisticated as Sage. However, for the small (10 man) business she does the books for, it's more than sufficient.
That's by the by. The main thing is that Parallels allows you to open a Windows window within a booted-up Mac. That way, any software designed for Windows can be run on a Mac.
I do find Parallels is very memory hungry, though. My wife's old MacBook Air (2GB of RAM) really struggles and takes ages to open Parallels). Our new iMac (less than a year old) copes much better but I have boosted the RAM to 12GB.
