I guess that because the Chimps are so much more common made the task of getting one of those an acceptable alternative for less decerning people.

Need to research TVR history a bit more I feel. Without the Griff there would have been no entry level cheaper Chim with the Fiesta brakes etc.

It was not only the Griff owners that noticed this, several people mentioned the abscence during my time on stand Friday, it also fails to feature in the clubs 2013 calender. But knowing it is the only car to have won all the titles, column inches, mentions in books magazines and on TV and there is one in my garage, it really does not matter. Oh and we have an annual get together as we all get on without willy waving about modified/unmodified ad infinitum.clap

I wouldnt worry to much its only the NEC, there was a lovely example at the GoodWood Revive this year that makes more than up for the lack of Griff at the NEC...

Not the best pic but still nice to see there...

Yep, agreed, hard to keep clean when they are used all year as they came out the factory with no requirement to make faster. laugh

Lovely Colour looks very similar to my Griff, shame they did not have one on the stand as they are iconic

Still love the look of my Cerb though whistle

40th Anniversary of the M so that's the reason for that.

Plenty of models didn't make it on to the stand and all were commented on by folk with an interest in those cars. We have to vary the models and this yesr unfortunatley there wasn't a Griffith.

No Griffith in the calander because the picture that contained a Griffith that won the 'picture this competition' when it was run the person who took it contacted the club to complain we'd used it!!

We can't suit everyone all the time it seems.

It's the 20th Anniversary of the Griff so its omission still seems amiss.

The group that I was with, as well as some people that I knew round the show, all commented on the omission of a Griff from the stand and how they felt that with the anniversary of it, as well as its historical significance in terms of TVR as a whole, that there should have been an example on there.

As far as the calender was concerned, I would have had no issue with the photograph that I won with being used on it but was never asked.
