Was at the local market with the wife and saw a trader with this stuff. Its a liquid he puts in your tiers and if you ever have a puncture it seals the hole and is %100 safe !!!!! Now I have no it been on these shores too long but I have never heard of such a product. But it sounds like a bit of a miracle, wonder stuff. Anyone shed any light on it

I know of one called slime, its a good product. I used it as a preventative measure in the air springs which are essentially inner tubes.

The stuff has been around in mountain biking for years. It sits in your tyres and if you get a puncture, the centrifugal force of the tyre going round will force it towards the outside, hence into the hole created by the puncture. I'm pretty sure when it gets to the outside and reacts with the oxygen it solidifies. Will only work for a small puncture though.

So what are the draw backs.....%100 usage out if your tyre and a end to having to bin a tyre with 10k miles still in it cos of a puncture. Why is everyone not using it

Presumably because you could end up driving around with a tyre that's on the verge of blow out, without knowing.

There's no way this stuff will create the same integrity in a tyre as having no puncture in the first place/proper repair.

^^^This is precisely why I don't use it.

I carry a can or two of tyre foam which do pretty much the same thing AND I know to fix it properly when I get home

Quite common for it to be used in trucks and things like tipper trucks which go into building sites and pick up nails quite easily. Works quite well on trucks, have seen tyres with many nails right the way in that keep full presure. Local places uses OKO Tyre sealant, Google it.

Some Continental tyres come with this stuff in as standard, its a lining instead of a liquid though, obviously lol

Pretty impressive! In my MTB days I wouldn't survive any large punctures with the same system though, maybe it's improved since then smile
