3D projector not recognised by PS3 / 3D bluray disc

Hi,

I've just got my Optoma HD33 installed and tried to play Hugo 3D on blu-ray via my PS3 (with latest firmware) but get the message that I need a 3D compatible TV. The PS3 is connected to a Denon AVR1912, and then directly to the projector.

The 3D works OK with SKY 3D in SBS mode but not with a 3D blu-ray from the PS3. Is there some setting I need to use to force the PS3 to recognise the HD33 as a 3D device? The manual implies that it is automatic.

well i almost have the same setup hd 83 dennon 2312 plugged in put game in switched ps3, in settings to 3d same on game played fine if you still have problems go on the avforum they will get you up and running.

PS3 needs to be in 3d mode the HD33 should then pick it up.

I have mine connected directly and it's didn't seem to realise it was 3D until I told it.

How do you set it to 3D mode?
