Took some beef out of the freezer to defrost yesterday (small boneless rib joint) which has been in there an indeterminate amount of time (maybe up to a year).

I'm not in the mood for cooking today and fancy a takeaway... will the beef be ok until tomorrow? In fact, will it be ok at all given the length of time it's been in the freezer...

The fat on it will probably be a bit rancid by now, so best for curry / chilli I'd say.
