Chaps,

Not posted in this section before. I'm in the market early next year for a new weekend toy having sold them all off recently. The thought of a TVR Chim keeps returning to my mind.

I've read up on them as much as possible, but could really do with having a good look around one. I do t want to waste anyone who's selling one's time, as I'm not ready yet.

Would a kind West Midlands TVR owner mind if I were to pop round and have a look round theirs? It'd be a huge help if possible.

I need to check I fit in one (I'm 6ft 3) and just get a feel for the car in reality.

Beer tokens (or just beer!) would be provided if someone could be so kind.

Cheers,

Oliver

Chaps, very kind indeed.

I'm actually in Bromsgrove, so that would be ideal. Would this Saturday be okay?

no probs'. Best arrange time nearer to sat as I may have to pop out for work for an hour or two, otherwise, fine.

Having had a good luck at macdeb's at the NEC I dont think you would find a better example anywhere, just bear in mind when you look for your own your standards might have to be a bit lower smile

I didnt realise there was a few of us in Redditch - I will keep my eyes peeled!

To balance it out we're in Reddicth too - 2 Griffs, 2 280 FHC's and a Taimar.

Ian - didn't know you were Redditch now - no wonder house prices have dropped.

Forgot about the body/chassis and gearbox of the S1 FHC, so maybe another 0.5.

I would suggest you get over to Bulls Head pub in Meriden when the Midlands TVR (monthly) meet is on.

Edit - Midday on the 3rd Sunday of the month.

Another Chim 400 in Kidderminster here, I pick her up this week after 9 months off the road having a chassis restoration, new interior and respray amongst other bits, so pretty excited! Just in time for winter hehe

If you're interested in seeing one that's had most jobs sorted I'd be more than happy to show you round.
