I was going to book my son a series of lesson with http://www.youngdriver.eu/ quite a lot of lessons, I was thinking of a lesson every Saturday until his 17th birthday in Feburary. they have a school at Brent Cross which is handy as he can get a bus there.

However the stupid people have gone and sponsored BRAKE, so now I need to find someone else to spend my money with. What other schools teach 16 year olds?

Make sure you make them well aware of why you have decided to take your business elsewhere smile

Sadly I couldn't agree more. My niece has had several lessons through them in the past which she really enjoyed and I had considered booking up a load as a Christmas present for her. Given their sponsorship of Brake she'll be getting karting lessons instead.

Thanks Jeremy but that's rather a long way from Finchley.

No, I need to find somewhere in North West London, I went to Harrow Driving School when I was 16 but it's shut down.

I notice that the latest email I got from them didn't mention BRAKE although there is a news item on the website.

Just because they have sponsored BRAKE does that actually mean they will be spouting the BRAKE stance onto the young drivers?

Is there not an airfield near you that you can take your lad to and pass down the father to son driving knowledge? Panshager isn't far north of the smoke iirc from my time down south.

My Dad took me to Turweston near silverstone and taught me to "drive"

No, it's more about my not wanting to support anyone who support BRAKE. That said I note that Co-OP young drivers insurance also gives a nod of respect to BRAKE and I'd planned to use them too.
