We have recently bought our first Geep and looking forward to tarting it up. Its already on the road and running well but i have already stumbled on a few things (probably just stupid).
The best way to fold back the hood, fit rear seat belts and so on.
If anyone out there lives in the Devon and Cornwall area (we live in Bude) and is willing to let me have a peek and a chat please mail me

thanks

Gary

Great, if any owners in this area wouldn't mind meeting up sometime soon that would be great. I have a million and one questions so it would have to be someone patient

thanks

There is a very nice black Geep parked up in Mousehole, travel west out of the harbour and it's on the left as you drive uphill out of town.
most Geeps I have seen with rear belts have a member fixed between the roll cage tubes just below the tailgate top, the belts being bolted to this. Most rear seats started life as mini clubman bench seats.

i'll start planning a route around cornwall.. a geep tour.
i have the seats, they need adjusting but there in not too bad condition. I'll have a look at the member between the roll cage idea tomorrow

thanks

My rear seat belts are simply bolted throught the roll cage same as the front one's with the reels on the floor behind the rear seat!! works ok although a little low but it still ok with the MOT people!!

exeter show sounds good. We'll be the ones with the tatty Geep!!
Managed to fit the seats and inertia reels today (with the help of a mechanic friend)next to the rollcage over the rear arch. Seems ok but might need pulling out for Mr. MOT

Hi folks

It really warms my heart to see the possibility that Jago Owners are again planning to arrange social events in their area.
I wish you all luck and hope it works out and gets bigger.

Perhaps soon there will be more meets arranged in other areas.

This is how it was in years gone by and folks had a great time.

Well done.

hehe thanks chris

By the way, the DVLA said we dont need an SVA, just a letter and its all done, we got the Jago on the road.... not bad going huh

How Many Members are there around your area with jagos by the way surfchilled ?

Also chris, is the black jeep from lauenston that my old man used to own, is it still in the club ?

What we'll have todo is i could design a flyer (high quality gloss thing) that we can put on the Jago Jeeps and Jago Rods around cornwall, and make a once a monthly meet or something !

I'll speak more on MSn about it

Good news about your Jago matthewdoe
Boy that could have been so complicated and expensive.
So have they issued you a new V5 with the right details?

I know of at least one other jago in the Bude area. Not sure of any others. I've stuck another post on to make it easier to see.
