Does anyone have experience of being stopped for speeding, although no ticket was written out and hence did not sign for anything ? I couldn't even tell you the officer's badge etc.

Is there any likelihood of not being prosecuted ?

..maybe a technicality ?

Thanks S

If stopped by BiB then as far as the issue of a "ticket" FPN is concerned it is entirely up to him whether he issues a "ticket" as the Act states "may" and not "shall". No get out clauses available because he didn't.

So in the case of say speeding then he can verbal NOIP you and report you for summons. That is the last you will hear about it until receipt of said summons in the distance future.

cheers DVD, will have to wait and see what arrives.

If the said BiB is present on this site (unmarked Blue old style 5 series Beemer - Notts), pleaqse give me a break and I'll recommend you for an upgrade of that tatty, smelly old motor you HAVE to drive ALLLLLL DAY.

Only when some pi$$ed up bloke decided to have a go at the officers who had stopped me for speeding, so they nicked him instead of me!
