Best 2nd Car for 8k Clio GT / Mini / Megane / volvo c30 dies

Hey folks,

bit of a head ache getting my better half a car we had narrowed it down to the following must be under 9k and low miles:

Megane 3 door 1.5d
Mini 1.6d (all little to expensive but do able)
Golf 1.6 tdi s
Volvo C30
Kia ProCeed 1.6d

This may seem a strange list but is based on a lot of factors the main being good looks (haha) and fuel economy. I have a 3 series touring and don't want anything too big.

Out the blue our local renault dealer offered me a 20k miles clio Gt 106 2009 for 8k it looks pretty nice whats the thoughts, is this car still quite economical?

Any feedback on reliability appreciated as the cars going to get 25k a year put on it!
