In-ear headphones - which size eartips?
Discussion
I have some Phonak Audeo PFE012 headphones and they're brilliant so I'm going to invest in some Comply Foam Tips but I'm a bit confused as to which size I need. My question isn't specific to Comply tips... I'll try and explain!
I've currently got the Medium ones in both ears, they're not a tight fit but are comfortable but can be pulled out quite easily.
When I try the Large then I can feel them in the ear and because they're a tight fit they stay put and there is a certain amount of 'suction' when you pull them out due to the seal.
So should I be getting used to the Large or is Medium right? If I'm going to spend, a frankly ridiculous, £15-£20 on tips then I want to make sure I'm buying the right size!
So I'm interested in your experience of in-ear headphones and how comfortable/well fitted they are

It sounds like large is the right size for you. Bass response with iem's is largely based on the premise that tip seals with your ear.I've currently got the Medium ones in both ears, they're not a tight fit but are comfortable but can be pulled out quite easily.

An even better (but more more expensive) solution, is to get some custom-moulded tips. I bit the bullet last year and they're fantastic.

Cheers. Do you have a link to the custom tips you bought? An even better (but more more expensive) solution, is to get some custom-moulded tips. I bit the bullet last year and they're fantastic.
Since I posted I found that Comply themselves sell a mixed set i.e. one pair of each rather than 3xMedium or 3xLarge. Unfortunately that's from the US and postage is $11

Ta
Bought some Comply tips just last week from Amazon, turned up in 2 days, so no complaints.
There's a compatibility grid on their website which lists which models to go for / features.
First listen today and sounds pretty good to me with the Soundmagic E10's.
Not exactly cheap for a bit of mold-able foam, and no idea how long they'll last..but we'll see how it goes a I guess!
