Mk1 Tuscan side light
Discussion
I just did this yesterday. Just stick your hand in there and feel for where the side light is, hold onto the rubber at the base of the light and pull. It pops out easy enough. You can then trace the wires back. I also had a poor connection and found that one of the wires had come adrift where a connector was. Stripped back the wire and respliced it, all sorted now.
Thanks for the comments.
I removed the bulb holder and bulb from the inside and found a loose connection at the bulb insert, however there was no way I could refit the bulb holder and properly refit the rubber shroud over the lens collar.
I ended up having to remove the lens unit (pushed out the front), though this was a complete bar steward as not only was it virtually impossible to compress the two plastic spring retaining lugs but the unit was also siliconed in. However job now done and next time at least I'll know what the process is.
Cheers again for the advice,
Richard
