Info on a racing 928 S2
Discussion
I have just bought the above as parts / project car and any info from the many racers around here who might have seen it racing in PCGB events a while ago is most gracefully accepted.
I was given a picture of the car leading a pack of 924s and 911s at some race track with huge green LUCAS advertising in the background. Could be Brands. It had number 15 decals on the doors. The car used to be white, with full bodykit, including sideskirts and bigger rear wing. Later on it was re-sprayed red.
At present the bodywork needs a lot of TLC so I am in two minds whether to part it out and do a Manual conversion on my S2 or restore the shell and enter the Historic Car Racing Club Series for next year.

Great idea, youve just got to race it! or a fun & unusual trackday car, like a 968CS thats gone large & gained a glorious roar at the same time
Im sure years ago Steve Kevlin raced a 928 for a bit, wonder if its that car? Maybe drop a line to PCGB and/or ask on the PCGB forum.
928.org.uk might be able to help you track down its history.

www.928.org.uk can't help I am afraid. Have sent an email to PCGB. Keep yer fingers crossed.
A well driven 928S2 on a diet can embarass its tumble -drier powered contemporaries, that's for sure. The same way as stroked 928s (6.5litres
) in the US spank GT3s on the straighter tracks!!!
