Bicep tendon ruptures - and tendon health in general
Discussion
I have previously posted that I have 'spontaneously ruptured' my left arm long head proximal bicep tendon. Il est mort! The tendon has snapped.
All advice I have received indicates that I should not consider a repair, for various reasons. So I am following that advice - although I have a sense of unease. I will now only have one tendon connecting that muscle, where there should be two - which indicates to me an area of weakness and risk.
I wish to resume an active training regime, but want to minimise risk of damage to the remaining proximal tendon and my tendons in general. I seem to have a lot of problems with my shoulder tendons, having tendonitis of my left rotator cuff and ruptures of my right infraspinitus and supraspinitus tendons.
This may be due to bad mechanics in my shoulders, which I am trying to address by seeing a chiropractor, or possibly through bad tendon health.
So can anyone give me advice or guidance on protecting my remaining proximal bicep tendon in particular, and improving the health of my tendons in general?
TIA!!
