OBD2 App & Scanner recommendations
Discussion
I'd like to get a scanner to use with Rev, or something similar. Are the cheap Amazon bluetooth ones ok, and is Rev the best app for using with an iphone?
I'd like to be able to use it with a couple of oldish Transits (02, 53, 05), an Iveco Daily, an old petrol Astra, an X300 XJ6, a V70, a 407 and a Ranger. There's an 02 Sprinter knocking about, but I haven't seen it move for a few months.
Would I need adaptors for any of these vehicles, or is it a common connector?
TIA

Picked up a cheap Bluetooth one off eBay the other day to work with my android phone and pad, connected easily and seems fine live data and trouble code readout. Obd unit was about a Tenner but think there might be hit and miss regarding quality and connection issues on some of the cheap ones.
This is the one I got just bid him down a bit on the best offer option

My OBDII port is right above my accelerator, so I bought this one, which works well with a friend's Android phone - and I hope that means it'll work well with my Christmas present (Nexus 7):

It turned up this morning - it's tiny and whilst I need to be careful about kicking it, it shouldn't present too great a target for my size 8s.
