Well after 5 years of ownership (a not so good engine rebuild) and much deliberation on what to do next, my Tuscan is off to get the 4.3 blue print from Str8six.

There are now so many options out there for a speed 6 it is a nice conundrum to have on which option to go for. However I cannot wait to get it back and bed in to see the full potential of the engine.

The only thing after that will be what other upgrades to do. Suggestions for wallet emptying are welcome.

Uh oh this could be expensive.
Already have the steering rack raised and Gaz Golds.(Nitrons will be fitted at some point). Also is Decatted and CCC'.

I think close ratio gearbox is very tempting.
I think the Dice will be first cool

Make sure you have the 3.73:1 or 3.9:1 diff if you go for a CR gearbox as the 3.43:1 diff is too long geared for the CR box imho.

Same here, my 4.3 is being build at Jason's as we speak.
Upgrades: indeed CR box with 3.73 or 3.91. And Toyo 888 or R1R. If you are happy with the steering then the rest can wait.

Jason seems to be doing a lot of 4.3's then!!

Mine is up at STR8Six at the moment. Itching to get it back - - luckily, I have the red Perodua!!

Should be nicely run in for Spa end of May.

The next upgrade should be your cabin on the way over to the Le Mans 24hr 2014 Greig - you can argue with your dad over whether it's the Tuscan or the Cobra that's making the trip!! beer

I have just dropped mine off at hexham horseleess carriages. They are removig the engine and sending it to Jason. They will then sort put the engine bay etc. Looks like I may be putting an s exhaust on aswell. Easily swayed i am.

That it is. I assume your engine is at Jasons' just now as they said they will send mine down as soon as "another" one is finished.

Cant wait.

G,
what does the blueprint 4.3 from Jason give you that you preferred over the TVR Power 4.3?
I'm just interested. Mine is still standard/original so at some stage...
Can you provide rough order of expected cost?

The main thing is the new block and ST8six's reputation (Although I was very very tempted by Powers 4.5 and their brilliant reputation as well). I cracked a block (early tuscan) after a rebuild from another place. They said they had fitted a newer MK2 block (when they re-rebuilt the engine)but hadn't. So I wanted to upgrade I thought I want as many new parts in the engine.
