North East Ferrari Meet
Discussion
ATTENTION: Geordies, Sand Dancers, Maccams, Smoggies, Pit Yackers and Northumbruns... (Did I miss anybody?)
A brief word from a new forum member...
For the last few months I have been trying to start and informal pub meet, but I have been doing this through the Ferrari Owners' Club web discussion page. Unfortunately this rather limits the invitation to club members and the response has been a bit poor so far.
So for your information, I propose a North East area pub meet. If you like the idea - come along and if you don't - stay away.
Details:
TIME: first Sunday of each month at Noon
LOCATION: The Errington Arms (nr. Great Whittington)
junction of A68 (Corbridge - Edinburgh) and B6318 (the "Old Military Road")
approx. 10miles west of Newcastle and 3miles north of Corbridge.
....therefore the next meeting will be this Sunday 5th September 2004.
I already have a couple of probable attendees and if the word gets around a bit it should be possible to establish a local group.
Hope to see you there.

Well hello there
We already have a North East pub meet happening, which while not organised monthly is a fairly regular thing. We meet down in Shafto's just south of Durham as a few regulars are from Teeside...
www.stefancarlton.net/pictures.php?menu=picture&albumid=73 was the 2nd last meet (I didn't make the last one due to illness).
Have a look in the NE PH'ers section as there are often events organised there such as the Croft Track Day on the 19th, Lakes Invasion late in October...

Shafto's meet is open to anyone with an interest in cars and attracts Lotus, Porsche, TVR, Stefan's Marlin, etc. We would welcome more people and would enjoy seeing your exotic motors. The location is good in that it is in the countryside and not near housing. The carpark is very spacious and unused. We normally chat in the carpark then go in and have a drink and a meal.
If you and your buddies wish to come along then, as Stefan suggests, keep your eye on the Northeast Forum. The next meet will be towards the back end of September and we'll be sharing our stories of the Croft trackday.
