Just surfing the classics section on ebay to kill a quiet day at work and came across the below advert for a rather rare ex police SD1, wasnt sure if the seller was serious at first but in retrospect I think he is!

Im no fan of classic banger racing but I at least hoped anything rare or rare parts might be passed on but certainly not by this cock!

I'd like to know what his gripe/ fall out is with the SD1 club? He obviously loves the model yet wants to go to a lot of effort and financial loss to rub their nose in it?

As you say, a bit of a dick really. If you know something is of value due to to its rarity, why would you ruin purposely. Makes no sense really. Or, he is being a bit cute. By stirring up emotions in the classic car world, someone could and has bid on it. In theory he should sell it it to the highest bidder now, if he follows the ebay rules.

It's his loss, He'll be throwing away thousands of pounds if he has several as he claims in the ad.

If he really has a police twin plenum then it could well have been a royal protection car and they are very sort after and hence cost a fair wack.
If he wants to break it then fair dos as he would be throwing away thousands in lost value.

I peronally think its a very cleverly worded advert designed to bring a high price.

Unfortunately it is a real advert, he's also advertised it on ovalchat as well.

It all started on the SD1 club, and i watched it get really out of hand. The sad thing is that this guy was originally annoyed because restorable good cars were being broken. However, he went way too far with some accusations about ebay sellers of SD1 parts, and the thread got deleted.

As a form of retaliation, he's decided to list all his SD1's, one by one on there, and break/banger them.

Its a bit sad really.
