Interesting case over on Pepipoo www.pepipoo.com/NewForums2/viewtopic.php?t=2436&start=0

Basically plod confiscated his jammer. He has recently received it back with no further explanation. They were considering trying to prosecute his GF for perverting the course of justice, but it looks like a backdown.

This merely reinforces the point that laser jammers are NOT currently illegal in the England.

Looks liek a potentially good result, but the poster (mazzer?) suggests his girlfriend need not report back to the police, I'm not BiB or legl beagle but as far as I know in the absence of any formal letter stating that no charges will be made and the case is closed, she should meet the conditions of police bail scrupulously. Otherwise a warrant for her arrest could be issued and she could be locked up.

"Today, I received my laser jammer back through the post. There's no covering letter, but I assume this means the case is dropped and that she will not need to go back to the police station? "

I think its a problem to assume the case is now closed.

I would suggest he contacts them regarding this.
