Pedal shaft chimaera

The clutch pedal has gotten loose around the pedal shaft
I have disassembled trhe pedal box, and have it brought to a welder.

Looked like a nice weld, however, after assembly and mounting everything back in the car,
the cklutch pedaldisappeared again after 3 times clutch movement. Again the weld ws broken.

Apparently the pedal shaft is hardened and needs special welding.

Dies anybody know which material it is, SAE number or so, that I can find the right welding treatment.

Any othersuggestrionsare also welcome

My suggestion is to find a better welder

Dear Rene,

thanks, my car is LHD and that is the problem.
The clutch is left, but the clutch cylinder is mirrored, and is right of the main brake cylinder.
The clutch pedal is welded to the left end of the pedal shaft.
The pedal shaft is hardened. I have in the meatime dismounted everything and the shaft end
has become brittle by the welding and is broken.

So I will make a new shaft, but will change the pedal construction and will connect it with a pin
