Anyone else notice that those BRAKE clowns are having a road safety week as of the 19th of Nov'12 to get us all to go 20? Local primary school seems to be on board

This is a BRAKE bashing thread pure and simple

I wonder how many people actually do more than 20mph outside of schools during the danger periods? I know that doing more than about 5mph is simply impossible at my daughters school.

I could crawl on my fking a-hole faster than drive past the primary school promoting this st in the mornings due to all the fking Chelsea tractors dropping there rat faced little fking kids off and blocking the road off.

If i set fire to the sign the school would burn the ground before the fire service could get on scene.

How about we have a Pistonheads:

"Have you thought about actually looking where you are going and try concentrating on the task of driving rather than playing with your phone"

week????

Ok, i admit, it ain't quite such a snappy title, but i think it might be more effective ;-)

Even mentioning 20mph and schools is missing the point - the ickle chillblains are in from 9-2 or 3, bar an hour or so during lunch.
I'm sure the majority of roads during those times is perfectly devoid of them to make the standard 30mph wholly suitable without carnage, calamity, and complete mayhem.
Emotive bks completely gets on my tits - and that's all this 20mph nonsense is!

Fair amount of BRAKE bashing already going on in this thread - http://pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f...

Well Surrey had the kiddies out earlier this week when i was out driving, and it seems Hampshire must be having the kiddies out with BRAKE & the Police today & tomorrow based on what's been written in the local paper that came through the door earlier.

Apparantly kids from schools around the Hants area will get the opportunity to give any bad drivers they find "a humiliating dressing down" according to the article rolleyes Yeah great just what we need, giving children even more chances to speak to adults like st banghead

Ironically, it's the big 4x4s that cause children to go under the wheels in an accident instead of over the bonnet. So your child is safer inside... but to the detriment of everyone elses children outside the car.
