The other replacement to the chav plate thread seems to be going down the same route as the old one so I propose a far more clear cut and happy thread.

Only illegally displayed plates are of interest here. If a perfectly displayed plate irks you I believe that is a personal taste issue and not something to which there can be a right or wrong answer.

Let's try to keep debate from boiling over on this thread and concentrate on finding the chav-plate champion of the UK!

In order to properly recognise the true chav champions I have devised a points scoring system, points will be awarded as follows:

Black screw on a white/yellow background, 1pt each.
White/yellow screw on a black backgroung, 1pt each.
Other external items (tape, stickers, etc.) applied to modify plate, 2pts each.
Itallic/non std font, 2pts.
Slightly modified* letter/numeral, 2pts each.
Ridiculously modified* letter/numeral, 3pts each.
Black/silver plattes on a post-1972 vehicle, 1pt.
Non-regulation background colours (silver/gold etc.), 2pts.
Removal of spaces**, 1pt.
Addition of space where not intended**, 2pts each.
Blatantly just using another letter/number in place of correct chr, 3pts each.

One bonus point will also be awarded if the plate includes a slogan underneath explaining the plate, e.g. S17EVE with the slogan "Steve" underneath. (plate must also be illegal in some other way to qualify)

(*) std PH consensus/kangaroo court rules apply
(**) may be removed if made legal in future (as mooted in some places)

For example:

Would score 4 points in total. 2points awarded for the wrong font and two points for the additional space. I'm sure we can do better than this though.. Who can find the best?

nono No need for any of that.

Simple solution - illegal in any way whatsoever, including the charming Essex winter habit of carefully washing the entire car yet neatly leaving the rear plate completely obscured by road dirt then it's a chavplate. No question.

Entirely and completely legal in every way - then it has the potential of possibily being a Real Good plate. We can have hours of fun with that one smile

Jesus - does every single thread have to become some puerile "oh, god, pearoast"/"cool starry bra" etc etc?
It's pathetic - it's like the kids at school trying to big each other up while picking on another kid for sticking their head above the parapet.

If you've got nothing to say that's remotely constructive then how about taking this suggestion on board: shut the fk up.

In all seriousness it's getting silly - it's like this on almost every thread. Must be the rain silly

What's getting silly is the number of tedious repeat topics and the people who get on their high horse when this is pointed out.

I think it's D14 BLO, with a wonkey 4, a few screws in random places, no gap and a silly bull on it

I think it's a PHers, lovely car anyway
